    Default The tiny tots

ID: Moths, specific id help appreciated

Came across these tiny sized, mating pair of moths, mostly seen them very erratic in their movement, but since these were busy, could manage some frames, though they seemed well aware of my presence and kept moving around, though not erratically as usual. Eventually managed to get this frame, though getting the whole moth was difficult despite the narrower aperture, and attempting stacking was even difficult due to handheld shot and slight movement of the subject.

    EXIF:
    Canon 550D
    Canon 100mm macro + Raynox DCR 250
    F/18
    Shutterspeed 1/250
    ISO 800
    Handheld, external flash fired

The low angle looks good. Agree a narrower aperture would have helped to get more details, but it was tough in these conditions. Thanks for sharing.

Nice scene. Unfortunately, it is soft. As a purist, I would not attempt stacking several images for higher depth of field. That is strictly out of bounds for editorial applications as well.
