    Default The photogenic Ghost

ID: Gongylus gongylodes/ Wandering Violin Mantis (female)

A candid shot of the magnificently photogenic Wandering mantis which was thankfully cooperative enough to pose with the wonderful backdrop of the dense trail. The mighty ghost had temporarily taken into the defensive pose with its front legs, the preying ones, bent together into a compact form.

Nice camouflage. Except seasoned guys it would be difficult for normal people to notice. Thanks for sharing.

Agree it is totally impossible to recognise it with such amazing camouflage. Anyone can mistake it for a twig . Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.
