Default Leopard with Domestic Kill...Outskirts of Sariska!

Drama was unfolding even before we reached Sariska!...We were on our way from Ranthambore to Tehla Gate (Sariska). We were approaching Tehla Gate, and just about 10 kms before reaching there we saw this Leopard devouring on a domestic kill. The time was 930 pm!(We never disturbed the animal in any way,and the photo taken with the car's headlights. After a few minutes of feeding the Leopard dragged the carcass and went out of view).

Canon 80D,Canon 100-400 IS II USM,f8,1/4,ISO 2000 (Auto),camera kept on front seat top, view thru windshield

Interesting and very lucky sighting. Good that you could record it.It seems convenient to combine Sariska with Ranthambhor. Thanks for sharing.

Great you could spot the leopard in the dark in the field. Loved the stare. Rare to sight a leopard with its kill. Thanks for sharing.

This was one interesting sighting. Did you not get a chance to shoot through the window? The glass of the windshield will always reduce the quality.

    Thanks for the comments!

Sabyaji even though we were excited to sight this leopard,we were little scared as well!...All glass panes up!Also it was pitch dark and without headlights,it wouldn't have been possible to see it.At that time this was the only possibility!

    Regards
