    Default Wild Ass

This species survives in the hostile environment of the Rann of Kutch .The salty ground does not yield much in the way of sustenance but it seems to be enough for them to survive and multiply.Their numbers are flourishing.Nikon 7100 ISO 220 FL 150 mm F/8 1/800s.

I had recently read about this species in the book 'The Wildlife of India' by E.P.Gee and he had said that during those days (1950s) wild ass were very less in numbers and there were only a few herds surviving in the Rann. Good to know they are flourishing and their numbers are increasing there.

Nice to see this mix group with the male on the right looking towards you. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see wild ass image. There is a slight pinkish tint. Correcting the white balance during processing will help. Thanks for sharing.
