    Default Jungle Cat

My lens chose to jam at the crucial moment when I saw this beautiful creature.Fortunately it recovered at the last moment and I managed to get this image just as it disappeared over a bund.Nikon 7100+150600 F/8 1/1000s ISO 720 evening of January 2018 in Velvadar.

Good you could capture the moment. The raised ears show its alertness. Nice you also got the babbler in the frame. It seems the babbler is keeping a watch on this predator. How were the sightings in Velvadar? Look forward to see more. Thanks for sharing.

Adult Jungle Cat climbing up the bundh. Lovely frame, agile look. Inclusion of bird is fine, may be just before flying off. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

Nice sighting. The tuft of hair at the top of the ears is clearly visible. Apart from birds, they are also known to hunt small mammals and even deer fawn. There was a time when the jungle cats were widely seen in wetlands. These days with destruction of habitat, they are not seen anymore in lot of their previous habitat. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

Do you have dust in your zoom lens mechanism?
