    Default A Bird of Snow-capped Mountain

    Snow Partridge is camouflaged in the terrain of snowy Himalayas. It is found in alpine pastures and open hillside above the treeline of Himalayas. The usual habitat is alpine pastures, open grassy hillsides with grass, lichens, moss, ferns and rhododendrons.

    Great to see this one. I have never photographed this species. When I went there, there was no snow.

    It seems you have selective sharpened the bird layer? Why only f6.3 aperture? I would have loved a narrow aperture. How much of a crop is this?

    Rare sighting. Beautiful bird. Nice composition and eye contact. Did you try any wider compositions? Would love to see more of the landscape. Thanks for sharing.
