ID: Cicada
One of the noisiest insects in the insectdom, these summer beauties are known for two major things, noise that male generates through its tymbal, and second being the ability to blend in the dry surroundings.
While on a lookout for the noise makers, in the interior off the trail, I expected these beauties to be perched higher on the tree, but to my surprise, after almost 10 mins of searching, there seemed to be huge number of them on the tree very next to the trail. These, 8-10 of them, were beautifully camouflaged, and with the lower ambient light, had merged well with the dry bark of the tree. While others flew off higher onto the neighbouring tree, this particular one decided to stay on and surprisingly was supportive enough to get some decent frame, though it never made any noises, was hoping to capture video of the same.
