ID: Yellow ground star
Recently came across an unusual sight of the beautiful bloom, in limited numbers, of the yellow ground star/curculigo orchioides. What's unusual about the sighting was the fact that, atleast as per my limited knowledge and experience, these majorly bloom once the monsoon arrives, or atleast after the first showers. But with almost no premonsoon showers till the end of May, the blooming of these flowers was surprising for me. And with this frame as well as the others spotted, few flowers had already bloomed and had almost withered off, as seen on the bottom right end of the frame.Though the leaves werent prominently seen, these beautiful flower brought in some vibrance to the otherwise dried up palate of the foliage.
