    Default The lone survivor

    ID: Forest Spider Lily(Pancratium triflorum)

The first bloom of monsoon, these beauties tend to bloom along this particular stretch of the road, every year, post the first monsoon/pre-monsoon showers. These white beauties, with just the grass like stem, otherwise never seen in other seasons, tend to have a life span of hardly a week, but wither off if the rains persist. Keeping an eye on them during my daily office travel, wanted to frame them along with the busy traffic off the national highway, unfortunately with the heavy showers most of the beauties withered off except for this particular one, giving me the opportunity to capture.

Lovely white flower. The rush of the traffic captured nicely with the use of slow shutter speed. Its good that you observed this and could go and photograph it. In the day to day rush we just don't see these beauties . Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing the detailed information.

The beauty of the flower is complimenting the daily hustle captured in an image. Great Work Shared.

This image shows that in the mad rush for everything that life is these days, we forget the beauty and the enjoyment. This flower is telling us to take a break from the mad rush and soak in the pleasure. Take a deep breath, contemplate, meditate. Life is to be lived.
