    Default The starry eyed predator

ID: Jumping spider(Hyllus semicupreus) with a fresh catch

Was checking out this tree with damp bark when I witnessed some motion, high up on the tree. On close observation it turned out to be a jumping spider which had just pounced onto a prey and the prey was trying its best to evade the death grip. Luckily the stunning predator hopped down the tree and gave ample poses for us to frame up, while the prey kept on struggling to get off, though eventually the effort faded off.
