    Default The clubbed tip

    ID: Owlfly

Always one of my most loved element of the owlfly, these club like antenna stand out from any of the insects. These robust tips seems very intriguing, and especially during this interaction, the tips, to the naked eye, seemed to be like rain drops had got accumulated on the it. Only on close observation I realized those were a bit translucent and gave a very unique look to it. Though the beauty got a bit disturbed by our intrusion, but later settled on a relatively comfortable height to get good frames.

The antennae looks quite interesting. The circular markings are nicely captured. Wish the vertical out of focus branch(?) was not present in the background. It is a bit distracting. I feel you could have included less of the out of focus body of the owlfly, as it does attract attention. Thanks for sharing.
