Default The gem of a sighting

ID: Mating pair of Marumba Hawk moth

A beauty of a sighting, thanks to my colleague's excellent observation, these beauties were hiding from us in plain sight, with the beautifully camouflage-y design and texture, they blended easily in the shade of the leaves. These mating pair seemed to be least disturbed by our intrusion nor by the breeze that kept sweeping it along, due to the higher position along the trail. After several close up shots, I felt the wider frame would make it an interesting composition, with the revitalizing trail in the background, so this is the resultant frame

The wider composition helps to know more about the habitat. Agree very difficult to spot, as they can be easily mistook to be some dried leaf. Good details. Thanks for sharing.
