    Default In the rains

Spotted this on the bark of a tree, while on a walk in Coorg . It was raining intermittently and the light was bad, so had to use high ISO.

    Canon 80D, Canon 100mm, f8, ISO 8000, 1/80, no flash

    ID help needed.

The macro world is bright and colourful. Looking at the exif details one can imagine the level of light or lack of it. The grains due to high ISO is not apparent due to the details in the image. One can immediately see how the light levels are dropping from the top to the bottom of the image indicating the downward slope. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

Interesting sighting & image looks good even with ISO :8000.

This could be a species from Broadhead Planarians (Genus Bipalium). Got to know about this site / app of inaturalist, who are building a global repository of all life. Interesting to browse through it. In addition to taxonomic names, they have also specified common names / family , which is easier to understand.

You may like to see through the link for above specimen as below.

Awesome find, came across the similar sp at Kasargoad, a month back, was surprised to see it and kinda excited that it could be a very rare sighting, assuming them to be more endemic specimen, until I spotted one few metres from my home in Thane, during the morning walk.
