A very colourful bird. Such beautiful birds are a bird watchers and photographers delight. Light appears to be low. The yellow channel seems to have lost details. Between the eye and beak the details are less. Why not a wider composition with the full tail? Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

Really such striking colours. Agree a slight wider composition would have enhanced the image further. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mrudul for comment. Sabyasachi, thanks for comment. I think there is some bald skin in the area you mention, not sure though. I have some good frames showing the bird in full. In this imageI tried to go as close as possible by cropping to great extent. Camera like Canon 5ds allows that. Even after substantial crop, this is about 10 mega pixel image left. I really love this camera.
I will post another image showing the bird in full.

Lovely image of the broadbill, Dr.Katre. Agree that the highlights in the beak and the whiff across the ear seems to be slightly high. The region where I live now (Malaysia) also has a great range of broadbills, with the most common ones being red and black broadbill which has a super flashy blue beak which gets over exposed more often than I would wish. Thanks for sharing.
