Curious case of the Turbo(animation movie character)

Stumbled upon this massive beauty along the trail, while it was crossing the walkway, probably looking out for something to eat may be? What stood out the most of this cross glider was the white coloured protrusion that seemed to be, some what, surveying the trail and on noticing our presence it went in. Curiously waiting for it to come out again, we kept a close look at it, but the white protrusion hardly came out, rather remained as a white lump. But what it did later raised the curiosity to next level. In an attempt to turn around, it picked up something that was sticking on its til, and seemed to be sucking on it, later dropping it off. While it started to move ahead, we realized that the loose soil or small stones would stick on to its tail, due to the slime that it has under it.

Interesting observations. Its good you could observe such minute behavior so closely. So it eats if any micro insects or some other stuff gets stuck to the slime? Thanks for sharing.
