    Default Predator vs Scavenger

As its other common names suggest, the Osprey's diet consists almost exclusively of fish. It possesses specialised physical characteristics and exhibits unique behaviour to assist in hunting and catching prey. Here the house crow is trying to snatch the catched fish from the osprey, but Osprey is feeling disturbed and flying away.

Wonderful frame with predator carrying the catch in talon and the snatcher confidently engaging in the air. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

The crows are very intelligent. Normally based on size one would not expect a crow to harass a raptor but they routinely do. Thanks for sharing.

Great capture. Liked the composition with both the birds facing each other, good eye contact and wing spread. The fish can be seen securely caught in the talons. Thanks for sharing.

Good storytelling, the predator with prey and its challenger together in one frame, nice one Sandipan. The background is pleasantly diffused and the light is right, giving this image a sense of completeness. Often we see the same scenes in the city between kites and crows, its refreshing to observe crows don't differentiate between different raptors and are themselves. Thanks for sharing.
