    Default The twigs of winter

    ID: Plume moth, mating

Not the most easiest of subjects to spot, especially in the drying up terrains of the trail, this pair landed in front of us, while we were traversing the trail, on a look out for some interesting subjects, making it possible for us to spot them. With them perched on the tip of the leaf, surrounded by several other leaves and grass, it took quite a lot of effort for us to get a low angle for a clear background. Interestingly the pair was very cooperative and hardly moved out of the ow lying area.

Unless you aware of the species, I think it would be impossible for anyone to know that these are moths. So well camouflaged. Nice framing. Thanks for sharing.
