    Default Dabchick

The Dabchick or Little Grebe is a very common denizen of ponds and lakes over most the subcontinent, from urban spaces to pristine habitats. And it is yet always a very interesting species to watch and photograph, thanks to its bold habits.

I like the angle here. The bird looks very cute. The image has come out well. Which area of Bharatpur? Sapanmori?

How is the bird scene in bharatpur? Missed going this time as I just landed up in Delhi. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.

    Cheers,

Lovely eye contact. The shinning water droplets add to the composition. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks all.
Sabyasachi - Yes, Sapanmori. I was there for a WWF meeting, and the field office is right next to Sapanmori. Did a bit of birding and photography at the side during breaks. I must say I don't have a reliable scale of comparison personally, but this seems to be a healthy year for Bharatpur.
