    Default The monster blossom

ID: Crab spider with cockroach kill

While framing the bees feeding on the yellow trumpet flowers, witnessed something strange in the beautiful pink bloom that was right in the middle bushes. On a second look it seemed like a cockroach levitating, only on close observation I realized a beautifully camouflaged crab spider had caught the mighty pest. The predator was having the heavy breakfast for a long time, almost close to 20-25mins, later again disappearing int he pink foliage of the flower.

Quite a big catch. Couldn't spot the crab spider initially . It is so nicely camouflaged with the pink flower. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.
