    Default Elusive Denizen of Eastern Himalayas

    Rufous-throated Wren-babbler
    Its natural habitat is the Eastern Himalayan broadleaf forests. It becomes rare and near-threatened species due to habitat loss.
    Place: Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary, Sikkim
    Date: 10/04/2019
    Nikon D500, Nikkor 200-500 mm

    500 mm, f/6.3, 1/100s, iso 2500, exposure +0.3step

    Great to see this species. The rufous throat is nicely seen. The singing has led to movement of beak and hence it is not sharp. Also, the focal plane appears to be slightly behind. Since this is a large crop, why don't you post the wider version as well so that we can see the habitat. Look forward to more. Thanks for sharing.

    Nice picture of the bird, I am yet to see this bird in our jungles. Agree with comments on crop and sharpness, looking forward for a wide angle image. Thanks for sharing.
