Default The life in the dry foliage

    ID: Mating pair of Baronet

While returning from the trail, almost at the peak of the morning, we witnessed a mating pair of baronets flying around and crossing right in front of us. While keeping a track of it, it turned out that the beauties came down on the ground and perched under a tree. While attempting to framing them though it flew off but again settled down few feet away in the low lying area covered with dried leaves. Lucky for us, either due to tiredness, they seemed to stay kaput in the location and hardly moved off despite us attempting to get different frames of it.

    EXIF:

    Canon 10-18 IS

    Shutterspeed 1/125

    Location: Nagla Trail

Special thanks to Anil Kumar Verma Sir for lending his Canon 10-18 lens

They are so nicely camouflaged in the dried leaves. Wish the vertical stalks on the top were not present, as they lead the eye away from the mating pair. Thanks for sharing.
