Default Tiny one with the morning catch

    ID: Robberfly with Midge catch

Came across this tiny beauty surprisingly slowly moving around. Later when the colleague tried framing it we realized the reason for its lethargy. It seemed to have been devouring on the morning catch of a non biting midge, and rather enjoying it enough to let us frame it comfortably. The robberfly was so small that the midge seemed pretty big, probably a plentiful breakfast for it. With the receding downpour, a water droplet was caught on the tip of the twig, looking like the cherry on top of the beautiful cake.

It sure has got a big catch . The water droplet gives an interesting touch. Any modifications done to the background? Thanks for sharing.

The waterdroplet appears like the head of a vine snake. Was the twig swinging in air when you clicked?
