    Common Hawk Cuckoo ,I photographed this bird a few minutes before I shot the Indian Cuckoo, Nikon 850+200-500 ,ISO 2500 ,1/250s ,F/7.5 .Kabini ,Jan 2019 .

    Amazing details. Common Hawk Cuckoo (Hierococcyx varius) - In West Bengal we could hear its loud shrieking, repetitive call - 'pee pee ah, pee pee ah' even in winter-nights in villages. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

    Good that you got it in the clear without any obstructing vegetation. The eye looks lovely. They were once a common sight during childhood days. With increasing urbanity, we hardly see them outside forests. Thanks for sharing.

    Nice head turn. The yellow ring makes the eye prominent. As Saktida has said due to its call, it is named as 'Papeeha' in Hindi. Thanks for sharing.
