    Default Egyptian Vulture portrait

Portrait of an Egyptian vulture. This is an adult. They are also known as pharoah's chicken. Mainly into scavenging but when there is an opportunity to kill a small prey they don't let it go waste.

    Shot at 800mm (Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM plus EF 2xII TC), f8, 1/320

Beautiful details. The side profile highlights all its features. The hooked tip of the upper mandible and the long neck feathers forming a hackle clearly visible. Thanks for sharing.
