ID: Tiger beetle
While the trail buzzes with huge number of tiger beetles, especially during the early monsoon days, framing one becomes a tricky task as they are very alert and swift enough to keep themselves away from any form of threat. This time period is also utilized by these aggressive predators to mate, and one can stumble upon many pairs of them, though catching them in the act is another difficult task as their instinct makes them abandon the partner and flee on the hint of any danger. Luckily though there are such instances where the pair isn’t much bothered by the intrusion and aided me to get the low angle shot of the act. It was interesting to observe the way the male puts up his front limbs, while grabbing the female, usually by its claws.
