It commonly known as Katydid or, sometimes, Bush Cricket or Long-horned Grasshopper too (belongs to Tettigoniidae family) and not Mantis(look at its front pair of legs). They are capable of making outstanding camouflage even when it is adult. The specimen that this image shows is a juvenile; the premature wings are clearly shown. They are not very shy and allow really really close. Even, if the host twig or leaf is touched they, generally, make hardly any movements. Found generally upper-side of leave.

    Please add EXIF Info.

Nice sighting. The light seems a bit harsh. What time was this photographed? Giving a negative exposure compensation would have helped. Please post the equipment and EXIF details to help in commenting. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Arun for providing the detailed information.

Hi Mrudul, Yes the light was harsh. This was my very first time into macro photography and I found it a bit difficult to adjust the LED light controls and focusing them accurately. Probably this is something I will learn and when I continue taking them. Please find the EXIF below:

    Aperture: 5.6f
    Shutter Speed: 1/50s
    ISO: 16000
    Focal length: 100mm
    Time of photograph: 9 PM

I still have images of few more species that I need ID, will be posting them as well.
