Default The master of the palm

ID: Two tailed spider with some catch

A usual sight along the coconut or areca trees in the coastal region of southern India, this beauty seemed to have caught a prey that loomed around its prized territory. Though most of the time these cling flat onto the bark of the tree, to keep themselves well camouflaged and away from any attention, this particular one, probably due to the catch, was slightly off the base level and one could see the light coloured underbody of the potent predator. Though it didn’t seem to be bothered by my intrusion and kept on feeding on the prized catch.

Good details in the eyes. As you have said, the light brownish(?) underside of the spider can be seen. Maybe a slight less space in the bottom (the out of focus area) would have been nice. How have you taken this angle? Thanks for sharing.
