Default The calm eye of the predator

ID: Monkey Orb weaver spider with Orb Weaver catch

While I was surprised and awestruck to decode the mysterious looking Poltys and kept on framing the enigma, just a few inches away, on another plant, was another behemoth that was silently feasting on its prized catch. Usually known for its Yogic resting pose and the typical diet of Orb weavers, the Monkey Orb weaver had beautifully blended into the space of the curled up, dried leaf, and was feeding on the prized catch. With the thorny seeds of the plant, the thorny beauty had suited itself well to camouflage off from the predators and unsuspecting threats like us.

Good details in the eye. I can see the spider, but not able to make out the rest. Maybe if you have a wider composition, it will help to show the prey and the habitat. Thanks for sharing.
