    Default Little Stint

Photographed this in Mangalajodi last month (Jan 2020). This was my first visit to Chilika (was pending for a long time). Overall I felt there were a good number of birds there this time.
Saw them close together feeding, so thought of composing them with the habitat. Appreciate exact id.

Canon 80D, Canon 100-400mm L IS USM lens, ISO 2000, f8, 1/640, hand held, full frame

Good to know that you have visited Mangalajodi. How was the trip. Awesome image. Light was good. This is Little Stint in my opinion. Look forward to more.

I remember this scene. It was early in the morning and the Sun was not visible due to mist. The wide composition shows the size of the birds in context with the habitat. A painter would have loved to create this scene, though with huge depth of field. In photography we have a limitation that even at f8 or f11, while using long telephoto lenses we get a narrow depth of field. Whereas the painters can create a scene with every element visible in detail. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
