    Default The octoclop

    ID: Huntsman spider

One of the most beautiful and huge spider ever encountered in the trail, this beauty seemed, atleast initially, caught some small prey and was busy feeding on it, aiding us to frame the behemoth. The monster had a very unique eye pattern, as seen here, just few mm off from the massive fangs that curled down to hit on the prey to deliver the potent venom. The beauty, though, after finishing off the morning catch, just ran off the dry foliage of the trail, almost disappearing off the scene.

Lovely details in the eyes. I think it has 8 eyes right? The close-up helps to see the fangs closely. Good capture. Thanks for sharing.
