Very interesting pose of the left front leg!Makhnas are a speciality of Asian elephants as African elephants, both males and females have tusks.Only very rarely they go tusk less.He might be in musth!

The extended ears, the curled trunk and the raised foot shows he is not in good temper. Liked the wider composition to display the habitat in the background. Is that a hint of tusk(?) visible on the right? Good details. Thanks for sharing.

Positioning of entire body shows that he's not in good mood and standing on his guard. Did he charged ?? TFS.

Super lovely sighting. The forehead is well developed. This one looks to have some attitude. For some reason I am imagining this fellow running and ramming its head like a ram. :-) Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

If he had charged it would have been less threatening As our vehicle advanced he stood his ground and seemed to be contemplating some sort of attack .He then turned and used his massive body to block the road .He stood like that for a few suspenseful minutes before he finally decided we were no threat and moved into the forest on the side . All the while we were aware of a very real threat, there was no doubt of that .
