When a tiger stalks it often sits down to carefully assess the approach. Many times I saw this tigress moving a bit and then stopping and hiding behind a clump of grass and then trying to figure out the best method.
Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM lens with 2XII TC ie at 800mm, ISO 800, f5.6, 1/500.
This is from Bandhavgarh National Park. There was a sandstorm, a precursor of rains. So the colours were different and I decided not to change the colour of the image.
