    Default The hairy catch

ID: Lynx spider with moth catch

Spotted this beauty with a massive(compared to the predator) catch of a moth, somehow the predator and the prey had a similar colour(almost) confusing us while spotting it at a distance. On close observation, wading through the green patches, we realized that it was a spider with the kill. Somehow the spider had held onto the prey right at the edge of the leaf, and luckily for us, it never hopped off or ran away from the spot, abandoning the prey. On a closer look, while framing it, realized that most of the hairy bit from the moth’s body was clouding the spider and its theory legs.
