    Default Barn Owl Update!

    The Bran Owl which made nest in our Apartment has flown off along with the eggs!....my dream of seeing them hatch has been shattered!

    Canon 80D,Canon 100-400 IS II USM f6.3,1/60 ISO 100 at 349mm

    Sorry to hear that it has flown away.Maybe it found another safer place? Hope it comes back next time.

    Nesting birds don't like too much of intrusion. I am not sure about the distance in your case and movements. In these situations better to place curtain and then discreetly observe. I see an owl at times infront of my house in bhubaneshwar. No nesting though. In Chennai, one highly religious IAS officer told me that he stopped using the washroom in his office due to a nest and he used to go to the common washroom for close to two months.

    Too much human activity can also lead to crows and cats getting to know the location. Hope the owl comes and makes a permanent home in your place.
