    Default A cliché-d mantis frame

    ID: Mantis

Accidentally spotted this beauty underneath the plant along the trail, early in the morning, along with the rising sun in the background, couldn’t keep myself framing both of them. Though the location and the terrain, especially the upside down pose, was adding loads of challenge, coupled with crowd moving around adding to the disturbance for both he subject and the intruder(me). Eventually though managed to get this one, with slightly narrower DOF, and eventual crop to get it closer to the frame that I had planned to capture, any further attempts of framing the beauties went kaput as the mantis preferred to stay away.

Lovely framing. Getting it in the right spot as you want can be really difficult, but you managed it well . Good details on the mantis. Nice capture. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting attempt. Tough shot as often the conditions make it very difficult to approach close and get the shot as envisaged. It has come out well. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

Excellent shot. The rising sun makes the image really interesting.
