Good you could sight and capture this behaviour. I had photographed similar behaviour when both the snakes were nearly in a vertical pose. Did you also sight them in vertical pose?

I would love to see the colour version, as I feel the yellow colour of the snakes will provide a good contrast against the background here. Slight less space on the right and more on the left to include the snakes in full would be nice. Look forward to more from the series. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting image. I would have loved to see more of the snakes. I am sure you would have got plenty of opportunity to do various compositions. I would also like to see a colour version. Thanks for sharing.

@ Mrudul ji and Sabyasachi da, Those snakes were showing that behaviour in a swamp adjacent to village road. Villagers were busy for cultivation of paddy in that swamp. So the place was crowded and noisy. So they got disturbed and disappeared into the nearby vegetation. So I was able to click just a few shots. I couldn't get the opportunity to bring the full body of the snakes in one frame. Soon I'll be posting a collage of behaviour of Rat snake taken at different places and in different situations, in Natural history section.
