It was almost the end time of our evening safari at Bijrani zone and we all of the sudden found a tusker blocking our road. It also tried chasing us back.

Indian tusker at its best. It is in its prime. Famous Naturalist M. Krishnan used to call these tusks as
"Murderous tusks".
The tusks- barrel type, horizontal, sharp and pointed are deady in any combat and other tuskers will normally not like to engage.
Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild
P. S.: Bijrani zone is becoming famous next to Dhikala. I heard that the most beautiful tigress there has not been seen for quite sometime.

Nice pic of a Tusker from Jim Corbett!...Indian elephants are known to chase people around compared to their African counterparts!Jim Corbett is high on my agenda to make a visit.

Beautiful enviornmental composition. Its getting dark, cold and you see a huge tusker, grazing by itself. Loved the serene feel. Thanks for sharing.
P.S:- As per the rules, the link to be added in the signature. Thanks.
The elephants are often instigated by jeep drivers. So they can chase vehicles at times. However, in many cases they simply give way to us. Thanks for sharing.
