    Default This almost killed us

We were at Bijrani zone in Corbett in 2019 December when we saw this tusker coming towards us and due to rain which happened a day before our gypsy got stuck in the mud and could not move. That was the terrible scene to remember but it did not do anything to us and it just moved.

I can understand that people often panic when a huge elephant appears. Trying to rev the engine when the wheels are stuck in mud creates further noise and disturbance. In such situations it is prudent to wait it out without doing anything rash. The elephant will pass by without doing any harm. Just quietly study the body language and the intention would become clear.

    Cheers,

Agree with Sabyasachi, its best to stay calm and not cause any provocation to the animal. Let it take its time to slowly move away. Such experiences help to understand animal behaviour. Thanks for sharing.
