Default Taking refuge from the intruder

    ID: Jumping spider

After a long time (one whole year), finally got the chance to explore the summer kissed trail of Nagla, and while trying to look out for some interesting stuffs at the usual spots, came across this beauty that was keeping an eye out for a prey. Unfortunately, though it got distracted in between, probably spotted me approaching it, and it momentarily disappeared. On close observation though realized that it had taken refuge in the deeper grooves on the bark of the tree, with its darker complexion aiding it to stay away from my eyesight, due to the almost perfect camouflage. It stayed in this particular deeper patch for quiet a long time, and probably with us moving on to look out for the next subject, it would have come out and continued with its quest to catch a prey.

It might have been really difficult to spot after it went inside. So nicely camouflaged. Good details in the eyes. I feel a horizontal composition would have been good to avoid the distracting elements on the top. Nice capture. Thanks for sharing.

It is tough to spot this one. I am not sure if I would have spotted it in this form. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
