    Nice shot with the shadows captured very well.A common animal in northern India but not seen in Southern parts.I dont know whether Nilgais form part of the prey species for Tigers!

    Nice to see a nilgai shot. British hunters have mentioned that the flesh of Nilgai is tough. However, I have heard gunshots and know of Nilgai being poached in Gujarat. Not sure about other places though as they are venturing into farms in Rajasthan and elsewhere and are being fired at, crude bombs thrown etc. The way we are treating these animals as vermin, officially declaring them as vermin and ordering their culling, I doubt if they have a future.
