    Default Lurking Leopard.....Sariska!

Leopards in South Africa are made more famous by the guides and rangers by naming each Leopard and closely following them. But in India, probably because of the presence of Tigers,Leopards are not that closely monitored;at least by common people.....This Leopard was resting on a hill slope at Sariska.

Its so perfectly camouflaged in the surroundings. The image shows the shy behaviour of the leopards, nicely. Its difficult to focus with the vegetation in the foreground, manual focussing can help. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely pose. I guess it was a bit far and the focus points didn't latch on to the leopard. In such situations slightly helping the focus manually would be good. There is lot of work going on to use AI (Artificial intelligence) to ensure that the camera autofocus system detects animals and birds. Soon this problem will be resolved.

    Cheers,

Nice sighting .Seeing a leopard is always exciting. The rocky dry grass shrubbery is typical leopard habitat .The sly furtive attitude of the leopard well captured albeit a little out of focus .Thanks for sharing .
