    Default Wild Dog

Checking the spoor of a tiger .Nikon850+200-500 ,1/800s ,ISO 800 ,FL 480mm ,F/7.1 .Tadoba ,Feb 2021 We had tracked a pair of tigers into some undergrowth when a pair of wild dogs came up and did their own bit of detection .Their behavior confirmed our own conclusion that a tiger was holed up nearby .

Good details. The sniffing pose with the raised ears, shows how intently it is sensing the presence. The low angle and the composition showing the habitat adds to the image. Nice capture. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image. The expression tells a story. I can't imagine how the British could declare these fellows as vermin and issue a bounty on their head. They need to feed themselves and have to hunt in the only manner they have been designed by nature. Thanks for sharing.

Even now in jungles of South India the wilds dogs are feared and killed more often, as I read sometime back. There was recently a tamil movie made in which wild dogs were considered threat to humans and were shown in poor light, justifying killing them. Still a lot of awareness needs to be brought in. Nice behavior captured Shyamalaji, thanks for sharing.
