    Default The Snarling one

    Nikon850+200-500 ,ISO 4000 1/400s ,F/6.3 ,Nagarhole Sept 2021 . As usual the sky was overcast with monsoon clouds and the light was poor.

    Were there lot of gypsy around, due to which it was snarling? Loved the direct stare. The inclusion of the branches looks nice and adds to the composition. Thanks for sharing.

    It was snarling at a couple of crows that had suddenly appeared in the trees around .It was then we realised that it was protecting a kill that was lying in the undergrowth below .Posting another image as the colors of the leopard in the image above is off and posted by mistake .

    Super expression. I like the repost better. It is a treat for the eyes. The habitat has come out well. There was a time when sighting a leopard in nagarhole was not easy. The prey density makes it easy for the leopards to coexist with tigers and wild dogs. Thanks for sharing.
