This is from my archives from Corbett trip.
Shot this from the top of a jeep at 400mm, f8, 1/50 seconds, full frame image.
The colour of the grass and the diffused side lighting in the morning made me try to get some details.
Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Looks like it was quite close. Good that you managed to include it fully in the frame (with your 400mm lens). Even with the side lighting, good details on the trunk and eye. Was it a big herd? Thanks for sharing.
Nice image of the elephant, Sabyasachi. The light is from behind the pachyderm, would have been even better had it been from the side you were shooting. Seems there was a water hole nearby, the elephant probably just had a drink from it. Looks like a chalk mark on the side of the animal, thanks for sharing.
Some of the biggest elephants of India are seen in Corbett.I am planning a trip there but not getting the accommodation inside the park. This is a very good shot under difficult conditions.Hope you saw some Tigers as well!
