    Default Elephant from Corbett

This is from my archives. I had shot this image of an elephant feeding in tall grass among fallen vegetation in Corbett. The tall grass needed me to climb up on top of the vehicle to get a better view.

    Canon 1D MarkII, ISO 200, 400mm, f5.6, 1/125, full frame image.

The image seems to have been taken during the summer months .The light is bright and the the vegetation appears dry and sparse .The curled trunk and fine details of the skin looks good .The pebbles in the foreground adds to the image .Thanks for sharing .

I thnk some of the large elephants of India are seen in Jim CorbettI also think central India is devoid of any wild elephants! This one looks like a young one.

Liked the vertical framing. The Corbett habitat adds to the composition. The branches of the tree in the background also frame the elephant nicely. Lovely capture. Was it in a herd or feeing alone? Thanks for sharing.
