Sniffing for scent is a normal process of ascertaining the presence of others and is followed by leaving its own scent mark. In places like Kabini where it rains a lot, it would be a challenge for the tigers to keep on scent marking so that others know that this territory is taken. Thanks for sharing.

A Tiger in a nice greenish surroundings.Kabini is one of the best Tiger reserves to observe the animal.Well managed and they take all efforts that we see Tigers and go from there.

The tigress seems to have been very close .Image is typical of a tiger on the move, weaving in and out through trees and across tracks on a compulsive,and important course of demarcating her territory .Thanks for sharing
