    Default A hefty catch

    ID: Heavy bodied jumper

One of the beautiful specimen with a freshly caught planthopper in its jaws, the jumping spider seemed to be enjoying its mid-day heavyweight catch. The curiosity of the jumper kept it mesmerized towards the diffuser(reflector at the bottom) even though the grip of the prey wasn’t loosened and it kept on feasting on it

Nice catch. How did you spot it? The hole in the leaf in the bottom left corner appearing dark takes away a bit of attention. Love the eyes of the spider. In these situations we always want more depth of field, however in such short subject distances it is tough. What kind of external flash are you using? Thanks for sharing.

Nice you got good eye contact from the spider . The prey caught adds to the composition. Good details. Thanks for sharing.
