Default Clinging on for the prey

    ID: Chunam tree frog

Probably due to the extended monsoon session in the southern states, there seemed a huge number of tiny as well as bigger sized frogs in my native place, something that wasn’t witnessed, atleast in such huge numbers. Amongst the other tiny one, this one popped out a lot, almost due to its hulking size(compared to the other bush frogs that popped out of the water source). Usually seen in the nighttime, on the pillar at the entrance of the house, probably on a look out for the late-night prey that keeps wandering around the dim lit night lights. This one was seen consecutively three days almost in the same location, though never in the daytime. Though never too friendly to the frame, this tried its best to stay away form the attention of the lens, and for once, almost completely disappearing in the darkness of the night

Happy World Frog Day to you too . Good details. The narrow aperture has helped to get the body in focus. Seems it is his favourite spot to hunt. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting. The details are nice. The structure of the webbed feet is seen nicely. It is looking at you to understand what is going on. :-) Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
