Sighting of Golden Jackal is fairly common in Corbett. The specimen is healthy and beautiful.Once I saw one which was healthy but slim. Here jackal is known to follow tiger carrying kill or to keep watch on kill when tiger is resting. An Intelligent animal, knows some share will flow in due course. Jackal kills deer or other small mammals on its own or in group.
    Nice image.

It is nice that this jackal posed for you. Is it a big crop?

Jackals are very intelligent. And I found them to be very courageous as well. One can also find jackals in the periphery of Corbett in the nearby villages where there are still vegetations for cover.

    Thanks for sharing.
