    Default Kalij Pheasant.......Jim Corbett!

A fascinating bird which is found around thick bushes and runs for cover on slightest noise. This bird was declared as the bird of Jammu&Kashmir recently.

Frontal lighting is better in illuminating and showing the details in birds. In this case light appears to be from the side. I guess they were a bit far. If you want to click these birds then you need to sight a group of them and wait at a distance. They will slowly move close and if you can remain without talking and making any sound then chances are that these birds will come very close. Too often people don't have the patience and the ability to remain noiseless for at least 20-25 mins.

A very colourful bird. Nice to see it cross infront of you. There seems to be one more behind it. I think a slight lesser ISO would have sufficed here, and would have also helped to reduce the noise. Thanks for sharing.
